Rhaila Tomakin Speaks Up About Her Connection with Kobe Paras
RHAILA TOMAKIN – The singer and social media personality has finally addressed the rumors linking her to basketball player Kobe Paras. In a recent interview, Rhaila clarified that she and Kobe are just friends.
The speculation began in April after photos of Kobe holding hands with a woman at an airport—believed to be during a vacation in Bali, Indonesia—went viral online. Curious netizens identified the “mystery girl” as Rhaila, pointing out that her photo posts had backgrounds similar to those in Kobe’s Instagram stories.
The buzz came shortly after reports surfaced about Kobe’s breakup with Kapuso actress Kyline Alcantara. Some assumed that Rhaila had something to do with the split, but she denied any romantic involvement with Kobe. She emphasized that she was not a third party in the breakup.
When asked if she could see herself developing feelings for Kobe if he ever courted her, Rhaila gave a thoughtful response. She said she wasn’t in a position to say “no” because she believes such things happen according to God’s will. However, for now, she is focused on her career and studies.
As for her current relationship status, Rhaila confirmed that she is single and open to meeting someone new.

On the other hand, Kobe Paras is a professional basketball player and the son of PBA legend Benjie Paras and former actress Jackie Forster. Born on September 19, 1997, he was named after NBA icon Kobe Bryant. He played high school basketball in the Philippines and the U.S., and briefly played college basketball for Creighton University.
He later returned to the Philippines to play for the UP Fighting Maroons, where he earned a spot on the UAAP Mythical Team in 2019. Kobe has also played in Japan’s B.League and represented the Philippines in international tournaments such as the FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers.
