Paolo Bediones Opens Up About His Viral Videos After 11 Years

Paolo Bediones Opens Up About His Past

PAOLO BEDIONES – The TV host and broadcaster has once again opened up about the viral videos that changed the course of his life over a decade ago—both personally and professionally. In an exclusive interview, Paolo recalled how the incident deeply affected him and how he has finally found peace after many years.

Paolo will never forget July 27, 2014, the day his private videos began circulating online. He revealed that the videos were unknowingly accessed by a computer technician in 2010 while he was having his laptop battery replaced. For the next four years, he received threats demanding ₱3 million in exchange for keeping the videos private.

“I remember receiving the letter while I was doing my radio program around 2010, I called the number and they were asking for PHP3M. They communicated via mailed letter for four years and kept sending it to my place of work,” Paolo said. He reported the threats to the authorities, who tried to assist, but no one was ever identified or held responsible. Eventually, the videos were released online.

Paolo shared a copy of one of the letters with Cabinet Files, where the sender threatened to expose the videos if he did not respond quickly. Despite hiring professionals who claimed they could remove the videos from the internet, Paolo said those efforts failed and only added to his frustration.

Over time, Paolo has come to terms with what happened. “I hired ‘experts’ who claimed they could do it and order the take downs… then… you can guess what happened after they were paid,” he admitted. Now, after 11 years, he has accepted his past and found peace.

To share his journey and help others going through similar experiences, Paolo created a video essay titled “How to Take Back Your Life When the World Around You Collapses.” It is now available on the Peanut Gallery Media Network’s YouTube channel.
