LTO Acts on Viral Road Rage Incident Involving Motovlogger Yanna
LTO – The Land Transportation Office has issued a Show Cause Order (SCO) against popular motorcycle vlogger Yanna in connection with a recent road rage incident that went viral on social media. This action aligns with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s directive to strengthen road safety and promote discipline among motorists.
LTO Chief, Assistant Secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II, stated that Yanna is being asked to explain why her driver’s license should not be suspended or revoked due to her alleged role in provoking the road rage incident—behavior deemed unbecoming of a responsible driver.
According to the viral video reviewed by the LTO’s social media team, Yanna was seen making an offensive hand gesture toward a pick-up truck driver, claiming he was driving recklessly. The pick-up driver later calmly approached her to ask why she made the gesture and explained that smooth driving was difficult due to the rough road conditions. Despite this, Yanna continued arguing and allegedly hurled insulting remarks even after the man walked away.

Asec. Mendoza emphasized that social media influencers like Yanna should use their platforms to promote responsible driving. Instead, she escalated a situation that could have been handled peacefully. He reminded motorists that anger on the road brings no benefit and that many have already been penalized for such behavior.

Although Yanna has since issued a public apology following online backlash, Mendoza confirmed that the investigation will proceed. The LTO remains committed to upholding accountability and promoting responsible behavior among all drivers, whether private individuals or public figures.
Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon has also reaffirmed the government’s strong stance against reckless and irresponsible driving. With road accidents and incidents of road rage on the rise, the LTO’s action is a step toward ensuring safer and more respectful conduct on the country’s roads.
