Jolo Estrada Speaks Up for His Brother Julian
JOLO ESTRADA — The son of Senator Jinggoy Estrada defended his brother, Julian Estrada, after he was recently beaten on the island of Boracay.
On May 24, 2025, an incident in Boracay involving Julian Estrada and his cousin, Jefferly “Jelo” Vitug, sparked controversy online. Julian was physically assaulted along with Jelo, resulting in injuries to his head and face. In response to public speculation, Julian’s older brother, Jolo Estrada, defended him on Instagram, clarifying that Julian did not provoke the attack. He explained that CCTV footage showed no confrontation prior to the incident.
According to Jolo, his brother and cousin were simply walking back to their hotel when they were suddenly attacked by three locals. He also revealed that the suspects begged for forgiveness after being caught by authorities. Addressing online trolls who suggested that the attack was deserved, Jolo urged people to show empathy and refrain from making careless remarks, emphasizing how painful it is to see a loved one hurt.

Julian also broke his silence through a Facebook post, denying claims that he initiated the altercation. He explained that the attack was unprovoked, describing how a man approached him and punched him without warning, followed by a group assault. Julian expressed disappointment over how quickly people believed false stories and reminded the public to seek the truth before spreading hurtful comments. He thanked those who offered support and shared that he is now focused on healing.

Their mother, Precy Vitug-Ejercito, also spoke out on social media, affirming that her son and nephew were innocent victims. She mentioned that the attackers may be connected to known individuals and stressed that Julian and Jelo are respectful young men who were not looking for trouble. She confirmed that legal action has been taken and appealed for justice.

The Estrada family remains confident in the legal process and hopes the incident raises awareness about the importance of safety, truth, and accountability—especially in situations where public opinion can be easily misled.
