Diwata Reacts to Election Loss, Thanks Supporters

Diwata: “Hindi naman lahat panalo”

DIWATA – The social media personality and Vendors Party-list nominee responded to critics and supporters after their group failed to secure a seat in the 2025 elections.

In a Facebook Live session, Diwata addressed comments mocking the party’s loss, saying, “’Talo ka Diwata’ eh ano naman ngayon? Gano’n naman talaga, hindi naman lahat panalo, may talo, ibig sabihin hindi para sa amin ‘yong ano… meron para sa amin.” Remaining calm and lighthearted, Diwata encouraged followers to stay positive, adding, “Gano’n lang ‘yon, relax lang, chill-chill lang!.”

Despite the defeat, Diwata extended heartfelt thanks to those who supported their campaign. “Ganoon pa man, maraming salamat pa rin sa mga sumuporta, gano’n talaga ang laban, hindi lahat ay pinapalad na manalo. Mayroon talagang natatalo… tanggap namin ‘yon,” Diwata said, emphasizing that the loss doesn’t define their worth or purpose.

Meanwhile, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) confirmed that the top three party-lists in the 2025 elections will each be awarded three seats in the House of Representatives. Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia announced in a Teleradyo Serbisyo interview on May 19 that the party-lists Akbayan, Duterte Youth, and Tingog earned the top three positions and will each have three representatives in the 20th Congress. Representing Akbayan will be Chel Diokno, Percival Cendana, and Dadah Kiram Ismula. For Duterte Youth, the seats go to Drixie Mae Cardema, Berlin Baday Lingwa, and Godfrey Wagawag Bawalan. Tingog will be represented by Andrew Julian Romualdez, Jude Acidre, and Happy Calatrava.

Two seats will also be given to ACT-CIS and Ako Bicol, which landed in the fourth and fifth spots. Comelec is scheduled to officially proclaim all 63 party-list representatives on May 19. Each party-list group that secured at least 2% of the national vote will be granted one seat in the House of Representatives, in accordance with election rules.
