Sen. Cynthia Villar Vows To Continue Service to Las Piñeros Despite 2025 Elections Loss
CYNTHIA VILLAR – The Senator conceded defeat in the 2025 Midterm congressional race in the district of Las Piñas.
The Villar matriarch is on her last term in the Senate. In the 2025 Midterm Elections, she attempted to switch positions with her daughter, Las Piñas district Representative Camille Villar. The elder Villar has held the post for several years before she became a senator.

The senatorial bid of Camille Villar was endorsed by both President Bongbong Marcos and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. Based on the partial and unofficial results of the 2025 Midterm Elections, she is on the 10th spot now with 13,359,922 votes after 97.36% of the election results have been transmitted. However, there won’t be switching positions with her mother.

Sen. Cynthia Villar is poised to lose in the 2025 Congressional Race in the district of Las Pinas. An incumbent city councilor, Mark Anthony Santos, is leading the elections for representative of Las Piñas. Based on a report on Inquirer, as of 11:32 a.m. today, Santos maintained the lead with 108,206 votes while the Senator earned 78,526 votes.

Sen. Cynthia Villar conceded defeat in her bid for congressional post in the district of Las Piñas. Based on a report on Inquirer, the Senator thanked the Las Piñeros who supported her in her bid despite the loss.
“Thank you very much, Las Piñas! Although we were not lucky in the elections, I sincerely thank you for your support and trust,” she said in Filipino.
Based on the report, despite her loss in the 2025 Congressional Race, Sen. Cynthia Villar vowed to continue helping the people of Las Piñas through the programs and advocacy that will be beneficial to them. She stressed that her service will not end in her election defeat.
“Thank you very much, Las Piñas! Although we were not lucky in the elections, I sincerely thank you for your support and trust,” Villar expressed.
Previously, Sen. Cynthia Villar earned criticisms after her remarks that there might be no land distribution without the support of the people of Las Piñas. On Election Day, the Senator admitted her expectation that the Las Piñeros will vote for her saying she has “done so much” for them.
