Content Creator Advises Youth Not to Rush Into Parenthood
A content creator shared advice for young people, reminding them not to rush into starting a family or having children.
Recently, Michelle Tagalag, a Facebook content creator, opened up about her own experiences as a first-time mother to show just how challenging raising a child especially when it comes to expenses. The post garnered various reactions online.
Tagalag recalled that during her pregnancy in 2017, she originally planned to breastfeed her baby to save money and ensure better health. However, due to complications, they had to switch to formula milk, which turned out to be quite costly.

Aside from milk, they also had to spend regularly on diapers, baby wipes, bath essentials, clean drinking water, and vaccines.
Michelle admitted that despite both parents having jobs at the time, most of their income went straight to the baby’s needs. There was little to nothing left for themselves. Even their usual bonding moments became limited to quick grocery runs.
Their focus completely shifted from personal enjoyment to making sure their baby was well cared for. Because of this, she encouraged young people to think carefully before starting a family.

The vlogger mom advised young adults to focus on finishing their education, finding stable jobs, and making sure they’re ready emotionally, financially, and physically, before deciding to settle down and raise a family.

“Gusto mo mag anak, teka check mo muna ‘to. Blessed talaga yung mga breastfeeding babies.
Story time
First time parents kami so talagang firsts lahat. Hindi ko akalain na ganun kalaki ang gastos sa gatas, diaper, wilkins, wipes, baby bath, vaccines ng dirediretso as in non stop ang gastos at walang wag muna bumili kasi ano dededehin at gagamitin ng anak namin Hahahahhahaa.
Take note dalawa pa kaming working that time as in puro para sa anak lang na po provide namin nawala na yung para sa amin. Ang pinaka date namin nuon during grocery day. Literal na anak muna. Hahahaha
