Pres. Bongbong Marcos Reacts To Low Trust Ratings in Survey
BONGBONG MARCOS – The Philippine President was asked about his low trust ratings based on the survey conducted by the Pulse Asia Research Incorporated.
In the Philippines, there are opinion polling bodies that conduct survey from time to time. One of them is the Pulse Asia Research Incorporated which recently released the results of its trust rating survey on the president and the vice president in May.

The trust rating of Pres. Bongbong Marcos increased by three (3) points while Vice Pres. Sara Duterte’s trust ratings declined by 7 points. However, the Vice President remains to have higher trust rating compared with the President.

The trust rating of Marcos Jr. increased to 32% from 29% in April while Duterte’s dropped from 57% in April to 50% in May. Recently, the President was asked about the result of the Pulse Asia survey wherein he scored lower not just compared with the Vice President but as well as his predecessor, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, who had a trust rating of 63%.

Based on a report on PhilStar, Pres. Bongbong Marcos shrugged off his low trust rating citing that it is only based on one survey and there are lots of other surveys out there. The Chief Executive asked who conducted the survey and the members of the media responded that it was Pulse Asia.
”Madaming ibang survey. Let’s not base it on one,” he said.
Based on the report, the President also encouraged the scrutiny of the information saying that imperfect information can lead to imperfect decisions. The Pulse Asia survey had 1,200 registered voters as the respondents. The survey was conducted from May 6 to May 9.
“Imperfect information makes you make imperfect decisions. The more perfect your information, the more perfect your decision will be. That is one source of information, and you have to understand where it’s actually coming from,” the President said.
Recently, there are calls for Pres. Bongbong Marcos to resign — to which he responded. The calls came after the Chief Executive ordered the courtesy resignation of all of his Cabinet secretaries. According to Malacañang, Marcos’ resignation call is because he does not want inefficient officials and those with corruption issues.
The Palace stressed that lazy and corrupt government officials have no place in the Marcos admin. The President wants a revamp of his administration following the results of the 2025 Midterm Elections.
