Cong. Paolo Duterte Speaks on Senatorial Bets of Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte in the May Midterm Polls
RODRIGO DUTERTE – The former President has completed his list of 12 senatorial bets which include two (2) senatorial candidates aside from the PDP Laban bets.
Amid his detention under the International Criminal Court, former Pres. Duterte continues to look after the senatorial candidates of his political party, the PDP Laban. The former President is the chairman of the party and Senator Robin Padilla is the current president of the party.

Previously, Sen. Robin Padilla was in The Hague to talk to former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte. However, it is unclear if he was allowed by the ICC to visit the former President as they have strict visiting rules. He stressed that he wants to talk to Duterte about their plans amid the election season.

The PDP Laban endorsed 10 senatorial bets in the upcoming May 2025 Midterm Polls — the Duter10. Here are the senatorial candidates that compose the #Duter10:

- Former Executive Secretary Atty. Vic Rodriguez
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte endorses the PDP senatorial bets, Sen. Imee Marcos, and Las Piñas Representative Camille Villar. Aside from Duterte, Pres. Bongbong Marcos’ Alyansa Para Sa Pagbabago also endorses the senatorial bid of the daughter of former Sen. Manny Villar and outgoing Sen. Cynthia Villar.

Recently, Davao City First District Rep. Paolo Duterte who is currently in The Hague claimed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte has added two (2) more people in the list of senatorial candidates that he endorses. Based on a post of Nurse Mae Laagan on Facebook, the former President also endorses the senatorial bid of retired military official Ariel Querubin and former Sen. Gringo Honasan.

Cong. Paolo Duterte admitted that their family is closer now amid his father’s ICC legal battle. He will stay in The Hague until a day before the May 2025 Midterm Elections in the Philippines as he will vote in Davao where he is running for reelection.
Previously, Duterte’s partner Honeylet Avanceña relayed his message to the Filipinos to forget him if they will forget his PDP Laban bets. The OFWs in The Hague affirmed that they will support the senatorial slate that FPRRD is endorsing.
