Married Pastor Arrested for Stabbing Young Lover
ISABELA CITY – A 43-year-old pastor is now in police custody after allegedly stabbing his 19-year-old mistress inside her boarding house.
The pastor reportedly broke into the young woman’s boarding house and tried to steal her cellphone and wallet, which allegedly contained ₱20,000 in cash. Authorities stated that the two were in a secret romantic relationship, and the married pastor feared that his reputation would be ruined if the affair was exposed.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the victim woke up while the pastor was attempting to steal her belongings. In a panic, he allegedly stabbed her multiple times to prevent her from calling for help or exposing their affair. The pastor was particularly after the cellphone, which contained message exchanges that could reveal the nature of their relationship.

Despite her injuries, the victim managed to call for help before losing consciousness. A fellow boarder heard her and immediately contacted the police. She was rushed to the hospital and survived the attack.
Meanwhile, the preacher initially attempted to flee but was later caught. He is now facing charges of robbery and frustrated homicide. Authorities continue to investigate the case as the community expresses shock over the incident.

Previously, a female pastor was arrested at the airport for allegedly engaging in illegal recruitment. She was with nine others, whom she claimed were headed to Thailand for a church mission. However, authorities believe they were actually being sent abroad for work with no plans of returning.
Two of her companions stated that the pastor had promised them volunteer jobs at a public school overseas, with only an allowance as compensation. One of them shared how persuasive the preacher was in her preaching.
The pastor declined to speak to reporters. Authorities are still investigating the full extent of the alleged scheme and are urging the public to verify overseas job offers through official government channels to avoid becoming victims of illegal recruitment.
