Dennis Padilla’s Ex-Wife Marjorie Barretto Breaks Silence on Issues
MARJORIE BARRETTO – The former actress hit back at her ex-husband, actor comedian Dennis Padilla, over his recent claims about Claudia’s wedding.
The recent wedding of Claudia Barretto, Padilla and Barretto’s second daughter, with her long-time boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo, was surrounded by issues after a series of social media posts by the bride’s father. Dennis Padilla expressed her disappointment for allegedly being treat as “visitor” at the wedding of his daughter. According to him, he was not able to walk Claudia down the aisle and was not given any significant role at the wedding.
The recent interview of Dennis with Ogie Diaz earned his children countless criticisms online. They were bashed for allegedly disrespecting their father. Their mother is also accused of controlling everything following the viral interview.
Recently, Marjorie Barretto visibly could not remain silent anymore following the loud claims of her ex-husband. She agreed to an interview with Ogie where she claimed that Dennis Padilla does not want a relationship with the children but attention.
According to Marjorie, Dennis and their children were estranged as he allegedly did not nothing but gain the sympathy of the public through his interviews. She expressed her belief that the actor-comedian really miss their children but his interviews put them in a humiliating part.
“Nasasaktan sila na napapagusapan sila sa publiko… Nababash ang mga anak ko tuwing naiinterview siya,” the former actress said.
Marjorie Barretto also claimed that Dennis Padilla never fought for a joint custody on their children. According to her, her ex-husband has allegedly never borrowed Julia, Claudia, and Leon for sleepovers. She also stressed that he allegedly wants her to look bad at their children’s eyes.
“Tuwing hinihiram niya ang mga anak ko… ako ang sinisiraan niya sa mga anak ko. Dennis, huwag mo ‘tong idedeny ever kasi ang lagi mong sinasabi tuwing sinusundo ang mga anak ko, ‘Paglaki niyo, I will tell you what your mom did to me. Paglaki niyo, all the time.’ and my children are protective of me.”
With regards to not being given a role at the wedding, Marjorie Barretto claimed that she did not walk Claudia down the aisle to prevent an issue. According to her, it was a sacrifice for her but there has to be someone who would fix her veil before she reaches the altar so she did and swiftly turned to her seat.
During the interview, Marjorie denies Dennis’ claims that he was treated as a visitor at Claudia’s wedding. According to her, it was his choice to sit at the part of the church where not even intended even for the guests as they were set to occupy the two (2) rows of seats in the middle. She claims that her ex-husband really wants to be seen as the victim in the situation.
Previously, in his interview with Ogie Diaz, Dennis Padilla claimed that his heart may not soften towards his children again. According to him, he won’t give them any chance to see him or talk to him and maybe the next time that they will see him is at his funeral.
