Marjorie Barretto’s Only Son Leon Barretto Pens Heartfelt Message for Sister Claudia, Bro-in-Law Basti
LEON BARRETTO – The younger brother of Claudia Barretto penned a heartfelt message for her and her now husband, Basti Lorenzo.
Now, two (2) of the daughters of former actress Marjorie Barretto are now married. Aside from her eldest daughter, Dani Barretto-Panlilio, the former actress’ third child, Claudia, has also recently officially tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend, Basti Lorenzo.
Claudia and Basti were in a relationship for 10 years now. They were lowkey in their relationship and both are seemingly quiet people. Recently, the longtime couple officially tied the knot at St. James the Great Parish in Muntinlupa.
Claudia Barretto’s mom, Marjorie; her sisters Dani, Julia, and Erich; and her only brother, Leon Barretto, were all present at the wedding. The bride’s father, actor comedian Dennis Padilla, also arrived at the wedding with his mother and brother.
However, Dennis Padilla was disappointed by the alleged “visitor” treatment to him at Claudia’s wedding with Basti. He stressed that he is the father of the bride but he was not included in the entourage nor given a more significant role at the wedding of his daughter.
Dennis had an interview with Ogie Diaz where he claimed that what he only did was cry and watch Claudia walking down the aisle. According to the actor-comedian, he tried asking about it but he was only told to “follow the program”. The issued drew different reactions from the netizens.
Amid the issue, Claudia’s only brother, Leon Barretto, took to social media a heartfelt message for his sister. In his Instagram post, he recalled to her how they would easily fight when they were younger but have grown to become each other’s “confidant and go-to person”. He stressed that he’s truly grateful for how close they have become.
Leon stated that Claudia taught her in so many ways to become a better man. According to him, she has passed on life lessons to him which he will forever hold. He also stressed that it’s his privilege to watched not only by his sister but also by Basti as he grows up.
Leon Barretto stressed that he witnessed a rare kind of love between Claudia Barretto and Basti Lorenzo and he knows that the couple has helped each other become the best version of themselves. In his post, he recognized that there is someone now who will look after his sister but assured her of his presence through life’s challenges.
“Even though someone else will now look after you, as your brother, i won’t ever let you go through life’s challenges alone. i am, and always will be, your biggest supporter and protector. i pray for a happy marriage ahead. continue to protect your peace and joy—don’t let anyone or anything take that away. love you, claudia. and welcome to the family, basti.”
Previously, the eldest among the Barretto siblings, Dani Barretto, also wrote a heartfelt message for newly-wed Claudia and Basti.
