Meet Joey Marquez’s Daughter, Jomelle, Who’s Now a Beauty Queen

JOMELLE – The youngest daughter of Joey Marquez has made her mark in the beauty pageant world by winning the title of Miss Teen Global Philippines on March 7, 2025.

At 15, she will represent the Philippines at the Miss Teen Global pageant in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this September. Jomelle, the youngest of Joey’s children, is part of a family with a rich pageant legacy. Her aunt, Melanie Marquez, was crowned Miss International in 1979, while her cousin, Michelle Dee, won Miss Universe Philippines in 2023. Additionally, Jomelle’s sister, Winwyn Marquez, claimed the Reina Hispanoamericana title in 2017.

While Jomelle has a strong pageant pedigree, she chooses not to mention her mother’s name out of respect for her non-showbiz background. She shared that her mother was once a beauty queen, having been crowned Miss Pasay City in her youth, and deeply inspired her.

Raised with a close bond to her father, Jomelle described Joey as “amazing” and “super close” to her. She recalled how he supported her decision to join the Miss Teen Global Philippines pageant, though he was initially concerned about her education. Jomelle fondly remembered a moment from her childhood when she begged her father for a tiara after breaking her plastic one, which he readily bought her.

Joey, a well-known comedian, often took Jomelle to his tapings, where she met stars like Liza Soberano. Joey also gave her invaluable advice, such as taking life slow and setting personal boundaries, particularly regarding relationships. Jomelle, who isn’t interested in dating at the moment, joked that her father would likely disapprove of her speaking to boys, preferring she wait until after college.

Aside from beauty pageants, Jomelle has passions for arts, drawing, and singing. While she’s not sure about pursuing acting, she plans to focus on her education and pageantry first. Inspired by stars like Anne Hathaway, Kathryn Bernardo, and Daniel Padilla, Jomelle’s journey is just beginning, and she continues to be motivated by her family’s achievements.
