Duterte’s Partner Honeylet Avanceña Reacts To Sen. Imee Marcos’ Probe
HONEYLET AVANCEÑA – The longtime partner of former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is not convinced by Senator Imee Marcos despite the probe.
The arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has undeniably divided the Filipino populace. There are those who rejoiced over the unexpected turn of events last March 11 that led to Duterte’s arrest while there are also those who were left disappointed by the actions of the government.

Pres. Bongbong Marcos earned countless criticisms over the arrest of Duterte. He was accused of betraying not only the former President but also the people and the sovereignty of the country. Malacañang defended Marcos saying that the government only acted on its job.

Marcos Jr. also claimed that the government acted on the arrest of Duterte because of its commitment with the Interpol. According to him, they followed every single necessary procedure in the arrest of the former President.
However, while Marcos Jr. stands by the legality of the arrest of the former President, his sister, Sen. Imee Marcos, was vocal about her disappointment over the actions of the government that led to Duterte’s arrest. She launched a Senate investigation on the arrest of the former President.

Sen. Marcos has already conducted three (3) Senate hearings over the arrest of former Pres. Duterte. In the recent inquiry, Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Boying Remulla admitted giving clearances for the arrest of Duterte and his flight to The Hague.
However, Honeylet Avanceña, the longtime partner of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, is not convinced by the actions of Sen. Imee Marcos. Based on a report on PhilStar, Duterte’s common-law wife tagged the probe as an alleged gimmick of the Senator.
“Pa-ekek na lang yon,” she said.

Honeylet Avanceña is still in The Hague now. Based on the report, Duterte’s partner is vocal that she does not believe Sen. Imee Marcos despite the Senate investigation.
“Hindi ako naniniwala doon… Tanong siya na ‘ano ba talaga nangyari’? Hindi ba niya nakita ang nangyari?” Honeylet said.
Previously, the Vice President was also asked about the Senate investigation on the arrest of her father. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte expressed gratitude to Sen. Imee Marcos for opening a Senate investigation over Duterte’s arrest.
