After Marjorie Barretto’s Revelation, Gene Padilla Posts a Prayer
GENE PADILLA – The brother of Dennis Padilla took to social media to post a prayer following Marjorie Barretto’s revelation.
In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Marjorie clarified that Gene was not invited to the wedding, contrary to what some may have assumed after Gene’s viral Facebook post. In his post, Gene shared his account of the event, stating that he made an effort to attend the ceremony, including waking up early and traveling from Bulacan to Alabang. However, Marjorie firmly stated that no one asked him to make those efforts, as he was never on the guest list. She emphasized that only their mother and Dennis were invited from the Padilla family.
In response to Gene’s claims of personal sacrifice and disappointment, Marjorie said bluntly, “Wala namang nagsabing gawin mo ‘yon.” She expressed that Gene seemed to stir up more trouble during the event, particularly when Dennis was already emotional and causing a scene. Instead of helping calm the situation, Marjorie claimed that Gene aggravated it by complaining that Dennis, the bride’s father, was not given a role during the ceremony.
Marjorie recounted what her nieces and nephews shared about the incident, saying that Gene was making unnecessary comments like, “Kuya didn’t have a role” and was contributing to the tension rather than diffusing it. She also questioned the intention behind Gene’s public rant, reiterating her point that he wasn’t invited and had no reason to feel slighted or entitled during the event.
“Gene, imbes na pinahinahon mo ‘yung kapatid mo, inano pa niya eh, finuel niya eh. Mas charged daw siya eh, ang kwento ng mga pamangkin ko, ‘si kuya walang role, walang ganyan!’ ‘Yung, ina-agitate mo pa,” Barretto said.
Following Marjorie’s revelations, Gene Padilla, the brother of Dennis, took to social media and posted a prayer. “I lift everything into Your hands, and I pray for peace and love to embrace every heart,” he wrote.
