Dennis Padilla Turns to Faith for Healing Amid Family Feud and Wedding Heartbreak
DENNIS PADILLA – Veteran actor Dennis Padilla seeks divine guidance as he navigates the emotional turmoil of his ongoing rift with his children, following a painful experience at daughter Claudia’s wedding.
Dennis Padilla is turning to faith as he continues to deal with a strained relationship with his children, most notably after being treated as a “visitor” at the wedding of his daughter, Claudia Barretto.
Padilla shared his emotional reflections in a recent Instagram post, where he recalled a touching moment with his brother Gene while waiting at the church during Claudia’s wedding. Gene had expressed hope that Padilla would be able to walk his daughter down the aisle—a moment that, unfortunately, did not come to pass.

In his post, Padilla pleaded for divine help, writing, “Mahal na Diyos… Hawakan niyo po ko,” accompanied by crying and heartbroken emojis. He also used “Kahit Na Magtiis” by The New Minstrels as the background music to further express his emotional turmoil.
The actor previously voiced his disappointment over the treatment he received during the wedding through a now-deleted Instagram post. He lamented not being given the honor to escort Claudia, who was instead walked down the aisle by her mother and his ex-wife, Marjorie Barretto.
Padilla’s public posts have sparked speculation and responses online. His eldest daughter, Julia Barretto, posted cryptic quotes about narcissistic parenting on her Instagram Stories, which have since been deleted, further fueling the tension.

In an interview with Ogie Diaz, Padilla expressed heartbreak and declared he was “permanently” ending efforts to fix his relationship with his children. Despite the emotional toll, he firmly believes Claudia wanted him present in a more meaningful way during the ceremony.
He also revealed that Claudia’s aunts, Claudine and Gretchen Barretto, were not invited to the wedding. According to Padilla, Claudine tried reaching out to Marjorie to attend and give a gift but was allegedly blocked, leading to further emotional distress within the family.
As family dynamics continue to unfold, Padilla remains hopeful for healing—placing his trust in God for strength and enlightenment in this difficult chapter of his life.
