Actor Dennis Padilla Hopeless on Reconciliation with Children w/ Marjorie Barretto
DENNIS PADILLA – Following the issue on the wedding of Claudia Barretto, the actor claimed that he is tired already and he does not see reconciliation.
Claudia Barretto recently tied the knot with Basti Lorenzo, her boyfriend of 10 years. They had a very low-key relationship that the daughter of Marjorie has previously described as “very normal”. The couple had a very intimate church wedding ceremony that gathered their families.
Actor Dennis Padilla was invited at the wedding of Claudia and Basti. The bride is the second daughter of the actor comedian with Marjorie. Their other children are Julia and Leon. The wedding of Claudia was the first time in several years that gathered both their parents and with three of them in complete attendance at the same event.
However, following Claudia’s wedding, Dennis Padilla aired his disappointment for allegedly being treated as “visitor” at the big day of his daughter. He claimed that he was not given a significant role at the event and was also not part of the wedding entourage.
The claims of the actor comedian caught the attention of countless netizens on social media. Different reactions outpoured on the issue – some expressing sympathy on the part of a father who wants the love of his children and others support the side of his children who might have allegedly got tired of their issues being served to the public.
Recently, Dennis Padilla had an interview with Ogie Diaz wherein he claimed that he is giving up from mending his relationship with his children with Marjorie Barretto. According to him, what happened at the wedding of Claudia was the breaking point.
“Ayoko na, surrender na. Finished. Tatay na lang nila ako pero bringing back the relationship, wala na siguro,” Dennis said.
The actor comedian also claimed that he needed to turn away from the altar so his mother who was with him at the event won’t see him crying. He was with his mother and his brother, Gene Padilla.
According to Dennis, he asked why he was not given a more significant role at the wedding of Claudia being the father of the bride. However, he was allegedly told to just following the program so they were not able to do anything about it.
During the interview, Dennis Padilla also claimed that Claudia messaged him prior to the wedding and told him that the event will not push through. According to the actor, he feels that she only did it because she no longer wants him to come to her wedding.
“Kung hindi na nila ako matatanggap, e di hindi ko na rin matatanggap ang treatment na nangyari sa akin… Ngayon ko lang na-realize na not one of my children even posted my picture in their Instagram. As in zero,” he said.
According to Dennis, he feels like his heart won’t soften anymore towards his children with Marjorie Barretto. He claimed that he will just focus his energy on his other children as he really got tired.
“Parang hindi na lalambot ang puso ko sa mga anak ko… I think I will carry it to my funeral. Bibitbitin ko na lang ‘to hanggang mamatay ako. Ayoko na, napagod na ako,” he said.
On social media, Dennis Padilla has left an angry comment on the post of Julia Barretto. It hooked the attention of the netizens.
