Boy Tapang Arrested for Alleged Physical Abuse of Live-in Partner

Boy Tapang Behind Bars for Assaulting Live-in Partner

BOY TAPANG – The vlogger, whose real name is Ronie Suan, has been arrested following a complaint filed by his 21-year-old live-in partner, Cristina Morales. She accused him of repeated physical abuse, which she endured for a long time before finally deciding to take legal action.

According to Police Captain Gerry Magsayo, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Alcoy Police Station, Suan was arrested shortly after midnight on April 1, 2025, in Barangay Daanlungsod, Alcoy, Cebu. The victim personally went to the police station to report the incident, revealing that she had suffered severe bruises, particularly around her ribs.

Investigations revealed that the conflict began when Suan found a vape among Cristina’s belongings, triggering an argument that escalated into physical violence. Cristina disclosed that this was not the first time she had been hurt—she had allegedly suffered abuse even during pregnancy but chose to stay silent out of fear and love for Suan.

After enduring years of mistreatment, Cristina finally decided to file a case, though she later expressed regret over her decision. Despite this, legal proceedings have already moved forward, and Suan remains in detention without bail.

Police conducted a hot-pursuit operation after Cristina reported the incident and arrested Suan within an hour. During his apprehension, Suan did not resist arrest. Authorities have confirmed that he has undergone inquest proceedings and is now facing charges under Republic Act No. 9262, also known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.

Suan, who gained fame for his daring food challenges, now faces serious legal consequences. His arrest has sparked discussions online, with many netizens expressing shock over the accusations against the once-popular content creator. For now, Suan remains behind bars as authorities continue the legal process.
