Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Claims Name of Sen. Bato dela Rosa is Ahead of Hers on ICC List
BATO DELA ROSA – Vice President Sara Duterte claimed that the name of the Senator is on the list of the personalities that the International Criminal Court (ICC) might arrest.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte returned to the Philippines after staying for three (3) weeks in The Hague, Netherlands for former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. She finalized the legal team of former Pres. Duterte before she returned to the country.
Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s ICC legal team is led by British-Israeli lawyer Nicholas Kaufman. The confirmation of charges against Duterte is set on September 23, 2025. Previously, the ICC confirmed that there is an ongoing investigation on the other personalities linked to the Duterte drug war. Recently, the Vice President spoke on the list of the personalities that the ICC might issue an arrest warrant against.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that her name is on the list of the personalities that the ICC might arrest. Based on a post on the Facebook page of Nurse Mae Lagaan, the Vice President claimed that there are many names on the list and there are several names ahead of hers.
Vice Pres. Duterte claimed that the name of Sen. Bato dela Rosa is ahead of her name on the list of the personalities that the ICC might arrest. Based on the post, she also claimed that the names of former PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde, former Police General Vicente Danao Jr., and Police Major General Romeo Caramat Jr.
“Hindi lang ako, malayo pa ang pangalan ko doon. Ang nauna sa mga pangalan doon ay si Senator Bato dela Rosa, dating PNP chief Albayalde, at dating Police General na si Danao at Police General Caramat… Mauna muna sila, bago ako,” she said.
Previously, Sen. Bato dela Rosa changed his stance anew saying that he is ready to go anytime if the ICC issues an arrest warrant against her. It is contrary to his previous claim that he will not left himself be arrested by the authorities. He even considered hiding from the authorities.
Sen. Bato dela Rosa previously expressed his desire to visit Duterte in The Hague and even jested he will wear a wig during his visit. The Senator is seeking for reelection this May 2025 Elections and he is one of the senatorial candidates endorsed by the Duterte siblings.
