Alynna Velasquez Speaks Out While Mourning Hajji Alejandro
ALYNNA VELASQUEZ – The longtime partner of the late OPM icon Hajji Alejandro shared her deep sorrow and frustration over not being able to attend his wake. In a heartfelt Instagram post on April 23, she revealed that her absence was due to circumstances beyond her control. Although she couldn’t personally say goodbye at the wake, Alynna visited Hajji’s star at the Eastwood Walk of Fame, where she offered flowers and a prayer in his memory.
“I was unable to go to your wake for reasons I don’t have control of,” she wrote, choosing not to go into detail. Still, she found comfort in being able to honor him in her own way, adding, “But I am glad I am here to pray for you and watch your star shine!” She also thanked Eastwood’s management for honoring Hajji by placing a candle and flowers at his star, calling him a “legend” whose music will live on forever.
Alynna also opened up about the emotional pain of being criticized while in mourning. In her Instagram Stories, she questioned how people could be so unkind during such a difficult time, writing, “God sees everything.” While she didn’t name anyone specifically, her message suggested ongoing misunderstandings with some members of Hajji’s family.

In an earlier post, Alynna shared that she had spent the final eight days of Hajji’s life by his side. They were supposed to celebrate their 27th anniversary as a couple on April 22—just one day after his passing. She expressed how heartbreaking it was to lose him so close to such a meaningful date.

Despite past tensions, Alynna expressed her gratitude to Hajji’s children, Rachel and Ali Alejandro, for reaching out and allowing her to be part of their father’s final moments. Their gesture brought her comfort during this difficult time. Though not widely known in mainstream showbiz, Alynna had been a constant presence in Hajji’s life and career, often seen by his side at concerts and public events throughout their nearly 30-year relationship.
