SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President wants the names of the 30,000 alleged victims of the war on drugs of the Duterte administration.

The controversial arrest of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has caused a huge faction among the Filipino populace. Undeniably, countless supporters of the Duterte family are disappointed over the Philippine government acting on the arrest of the former Chief Executive.

Senator Bato dela Rosa claimed that Duterte’s arrest is a “betrayal” by Pres. Bongbong Marcos. According to him, the President allegedly did not stand by his words and betrayed the Filipino people and the country. The former President was arrested due to the warrant issued by the International Criminal Court.

According to Pres. Bongbong Marcos, the government did not implement the arrest because it came from the ICC but because of its commitment with the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol). Malacañang stressed the same thing in defending the action of the Philippine government.

Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is now detained at the Hague Penitentiary Institution for over a week now. The confirmation of the charges against Duterte is scheduled on September 23. Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is currently in The Hague to set the legal team of her father for the ICC trial.

The legal team of former Pres. Duterte will be led by British-Israeli lawyer Nicholas Kaufman. According to VP Sara, she will just arrange the legal team of her father, let them meet her brothers and Cielito or “Honeylet Avanceña”, the common-law wife of her father, and go home to the Philippines.

Vice Pres. Sara Duterte revealed that former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte wants her to return immediately to the Philippines. Amid the detention of the former Philippine President, his daughter seeks the names of the alleged 30,000 drug war victims.

Based on a report on the Philippine Star, human rights group claimed that around 30,000 people died from the Duterte drug war but the police records only hold 6,000 deaths. The Vice President stressed that not having pieces of evidence on the claim of the human rights group is not a case in the country and the ICC.

“So, nasaan na ang 30,000 pieces of evidence? This is not a case for the ICC. These were not even cases in the Philippines. Not a single case,’’ the Vice President said.

Based on the report, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte seeks for the names of the alleged 30,000 victims of the drug war of her father’s administration. According to her, there are only 181 pieces of evidence and the number of victims has not reached 50.

“How can you prove systematic killing of 30,000 victims if you do not have the names of 30,000 victims?” she said.

Recently, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte celebrated his 80th birthday. On Duterte’s birthday, Malacañang gave a message.
