Vice Pres. Sara Duterte Assures Former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte in Better Health Now
SARA DUTERTE – The Vice President shared that former Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte is confident that there’s “no case to begin with” at the International Criminal Court (ICC).
Former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte is currently detained in the detention facility of the ICC in The Hague, Netherland after his unexpected arrest in Manila last March 11. On the same day that he was arrested by the Philippine National Police (PNP), Duterte was flown to The Hague via Dubai.
The camp of Duterte is currently preparing for the confirmation of the charges against him set on September 23. Previously, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte clarified that Harry Roque and Salvador Medialdea are not part of former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s legal team.
According to Vice Pres. Duterte, there are limited slots that will compose the legal team of the former President for his ICC trial and he wants the lawyers to really focus on the case. British-Israeli lawyer Nicholas Kaufman will lead the legal team of the former Philippine President.
Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte once again addressed the crown at Netherlands. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Vice President spoke in front of several thousand Duterte supporters gathered in spring sunshine on the Malieveld about her dad, Rodrigo.
According to the Vice President, former Pres. Rodrigo Duterte is confident that there is “no case to begin with” at the ICC. She also stressed that her father is confident about the legal arguments.
“He’s very confident about the legal arguments. He’s very confident… that what they did was wrong and there is no case to begin with,” the Vice President said referring to FPRRD.
Based on the report, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte shared that former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte feels better now. She credited the doctors and nurses in the detention facility of The Hague for taking care of her father. Furthermore, the former President is also getting the rice he requested.
According to Vice Pres. Duterte, the rice is cooked perfectly and “correct according to Filipino taste”. Reportedly, former Pres. Duterte is asking for his personal clothes as well as a supply of diet cola.
Previously, Vice Pres. Duterte expressed the former Pres. Duterte has likened his detention place into a hotel accommodation. His only request then was rice on top of the Dutch food being served.
