Dog Dies After Rider is Stopped by Police Near Vet Clinic
A motorcycle rider is grieving the loss of his beloved dog after being prevented by police from reaching a veterinary clinic in time for treatment.
Recently, the Facebook page Animal and Nature Advocates shared heartbreaking photos of the dog, who did not survive. According to the post, the rider was rushing his pet to a veterinary clinic for urgent medical attention when police officers stopped him just a few meters away from the facility. Despite his desperate pleas, the officers refused to let him pass, ultimately preventing his pet from receiving life-saving care.
The rider was devastated as he held his lifeless dog on the roadside, visibly heartbroken. Through tears, he whispered to his pet, “Sinubukan ko, pero hindi kita nailigtas… magpahinga ka na, champ.” Reports later revealed that the puppy had been suffering from severe gastroenteritis, which required immediate treatment. Unfortunately, the delay proved fatal.
The incident sparked outrage among netizens, who criticized the officers for their lack of compassion. Many expressed disappointment over the apparent disregard for the urgency of the situation. Some also called for greater consideration from authorities when handling emergencies involving pets, emphasizing that animals are family to their owners. They urged the implementation of more humane policies to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
In a separate report, an Aspin named Tiger tragically died after being stabbed in the stomach at a public market in Barangay Baraca-Camachile, Subic, Zambales. As reported by Atom Araullo on GMA 7’s State of the Nation, a video uploader shared that the wounded dog approached them after the attack.
The stabbing allegedly occurred after Tiger took meat from a vendor’s stall. In retaliation, a female vendor fatally wounded the dog with a knife. Bystanders described the horrific scene, noting that Tiger’s internal organs were exposed due to the deep stab wound. Despite attempts to save the dog, it did not survive.
