Nadine Lustre Shares Cryptic Post Following Duterte’s Arrest
NADINE LUSTRE – The actress has once again captured the attention of social media users after sharing a post related to the recent arrest of former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.
Recently, Lustre took to Instagram Stories to repost an image originally shared by Rappler. The image, taken by Reuters photographer Wolfgang Rattay, featured a striking banner held by a protester.
The banner prominently displayed the phrase “Collect them all” and listed the names of Duterte, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Russian President Vladimir Putin. A checkmark was placed next to Duterte’s name, along with the phrase “Welcome to The Hague,” referencing his transfer to the International Criminal Court (ICC) detention center.

Notably, Lustre did not add any caption or commentary to the reposted image, allowing the photo to speak for itself. However, the actress’s decision to share it did not go unnoticed, sparking conversations among netizens.

Meanwhile, Duterte was flown to the ICC Detention Center in Scheveningen, The Hague, Netherlands, arriving early Thursday morning. His chartered flight, RP-C5219, landed at Rotterdam-The Hague Airport at 4:56 p.m. Central European Time (11:56 p.m. Philippine time). His arrest in Manila on Tuesday marks a crucial moment in the ICC’s ongoing investigation into allegations of crimes against humanity linked to his controversial war on drugs.

According to the ICC, the former president of the Republic of the Philippines is accused of orchestrating and funding death squads responsible for extrajudicial killings of suspected drug offenders during his presidency from 2016 to 2022. The former president is expected to appear before a judge, where the charges against him will be formally presented. His arrest has reignited global discussions on accountability, human rights, and justice in the Philippines.
