Miguel Lorenzo Padlan Defends His Father After Breakup with Kris Aquino
MIGUEL LORENZO PADLAN – The son of Dr. Mike Padlan has spoken out to defend his father, who was once in a relationship with Kris Aquino.
He expressed his love and respect for his father, emphasizing that false accusations should not tarnish his good name. Miguel urged people to stop spreading lies and clarified that his father’s relationship with Kris was genuine. However, despite their love, they eventually broke up because their connection faded. He made it clear that this did not mean his father never cared for Kris—only that not all relationships are meant to last forever.
Miguel also shared the struggles his father faced during the relationship. He revealed that Dr. Padlan often traveled to the U.S. to be with Kris, which took a toll on their family. At times, his father had little money left and even lost patients at his clinic, yet he still chose to be with Kris. Despite these challenges, Miguel stressed that his father never asked for money. Any financial support Kris provided was out of her own kindness, not because his father requested it.
Despite the hardships, Miguel assured everyone that his father never abandoned them. He described Dr. Padlan as caring, strong, and selfless. Miguel decided to speak up because he could not stand by and watch his father be unfairly criticized. He also shared that his father would soon be leaving the country to care for his aunt after surgery, once again demonstrating his selfless nature. While Miguel still respects Kris, he hopes she will not share stories that are untrue.
Meanwhile, Kris Aquino spoke about their breakup, revealing that Dr. Padlan told her, “INIWAN KITA DAHIL MAHIRAP KANG MAHALIN.” She later came to believe that he may have never truly loved her. She also claimed that he made hurtful remarks about her close friends and doctors.
Now, Kris is focusing on her health as she continues to battle lupus arthritis and other conditions. Despite her struggles, she remains hopeful and draws strength from her sons, Josh and Bimby. She has accepted her heartbreak and chooses to move forward, with no regrets about loving Dr. Padlan.
