CIDG Chief Torre on Outburst of Kitty Duterte: ‘I’ve seen worse’
POLICE MAJOR GENERAL NICOLAS TORRE III – The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Director responded after being cursed by Kitty Duterte during the arrest of her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.
Rather than reacting negatively, Torre downplayed the incident, saying he had encountered worse situations in his line of duty. “Ayos lang ‘yon. I’ve seen worse. Kaya kumapal ang balat ko, sanay na ‘to sa mura, e,” he stated on Thursday, March 13.
The confrontation was captured in a video that Kitty posted on her Instagram account on March 11. In the footage, she could be heard cursing Torre while he explained the flight arrangements for Duterte. The video appeared to have been recorded by Kitty herself, reflecting her frustration over the situation.

Torre, who was addressing Duterte’s camp rather than directly responding to Kitty, acknowledged the heightened emotions surrounding the event. He remained patient and understanding, saying, “Natural, pagbigyan na natin. Bata pa, bata pa. Marami pa siyang maiintindihan sa mundo pagdating ng panahon.” His calm demeanor reflected his professionalism and experience in handling high-pressure situations.

Despite the tension, Torre stayed focused on his responsibilities. His measured response highlighted his ability to navigate sensitive situations without escalating conflicts, reinforcing his role as a law enforcement officer committed to maintaining order.
At the height of the incident, Kitty took to Instagram to further express her frustration. She posted a photo of her torn top, claiming it resulted from the alleged harassment she and her family faced. “This is the result of the harassment they did to my family and I today. Done by the supposed “protectors” of this country,” she wrote. Her post quickly gained attention, with supporters and critics sharing their opinions online.
