Tiger the Aspin Stabbed to Death by Vendor Over Alleged Meat Theft
JUSTICE FOR TIGER – An Aspin named “Tiger” tragically lost its life after being stabbed in the belly at a public market in Barangay Baraca-Camachile, Subic, Zambales. According to a report by Atom Araullo on GMA 7’s State of the Nation, a video uploader recounted how the injured dog approached them after the attack.
The incident allegedly occurred after Tiger stole meat from a vendor’s stall. In response, a female vendor stabbed the dog, inflicting a severe wound. Witnesses described the gruesome sight of Tiger’s internal organs being exposed due to the deep stab wound. Despite efforts to help, the dog succumbed to its injuries shortly after.
Authorities have since arrested the vendor, while the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) strongly condemned the act, labeling it a horrific case of animal cruelty. In a statement, PAWS expressed outrage, calling the stabbing a senseless act of violence against an innocent animal. They emphasized that such cruelty is not just an attack on animals but also a warning sign of potential harm to humans. Studies indicate that individuals who commit violent acts against animals may also be capable of harming people.

PAWS urged the public to take a stand against animal cruelty and report similar incidents. They assured that their organization is always ready to assist witnesses willing to file cases and seek justice for abused animals.
The incident has sparked widespread condemnation from animal rights advocates and concerned citizens. Many are calling for stricter enforcement of animal welfare laws to prevent similar acts of violence. The case highlights the urgent need for greater awareness and stronger measures to protect animals from cruelty and ensure that those responsible face legal consequences.
