Netizens Slam Willie Revillame for Ignoring PWD Vendor
WILLIE REVILLAME – The television host and senatorial candidate is facing backlash after a video showed him walking away from a Sampaguita vendor who tried to approach him.
In the viral clip, Willie was seen greeting supporters and taking photos when the vendor, a person with a disability (PWD), attempted to get close to him. Instead of engaging with the vendor, Willie turned away and instructed his staff to give the man a jacket instead.
This action disappointed many netizens, especially since Willie has built his public image around helping the poor. Some accused him of showing a different attitude when cameras weren’t rolling.
One commenter criticized how celebrities and politicians often distance themselves from ordinary people. “Asal artista p rin . Aside from this incident, Willie has also been criticized for refusing to disclose his platform if elected as a senator. Many remain skeptical of his candidacy, questioning whether he genuinely intends to serve the people.

Revillame started as a drummer before transitioning into television and film in the late 1980s. He gained prominence as a sidekick in movies and as a host of noontime shows like Lunch Date and Magandang Tanghali Bayan.
After leaving ABS-CBN, he hosted shows on TV5 and later returned to GMA Network with Wowowin. He moved to Manny Villar’s All TV in 2022 but left in 2023 after the network’s struggles. In 2024, he returned to TV5 with Wil To Win.
