A unique hardware-themed coffee shop in Quezon City goes viral online for offering customers an industrial-style ambiance paired with delicious food and drinks.
Recently, Precious Flores, a Facebook user, shared photos of a unique coffee shop located along Katipunan Avenue. The post quickly circulated on social media and garnered various reactions from the online community.
At first glance, Resonate Coffee shop’s rugged, unfinished look might seem like a gimmick, but visitors are pleasantly surprised by the quality of the menu. Unlike other cafes that focus purely on aesthetics.
“Super witty ng cafe and I really thought na for the clout lang ‘yung theme, but they are serious about their menu!” Flores said.
Despite having a smaller menu than most coffee shops, every item is well thought out and carefully crafted. Customers also appreciate the reasonable pricing, especially at a time when many cafes charge high prices for mediocre offerings.
The friendly staff adds to the overall great experience. Interestingly, for Flores, this coffee shop holds a deeper meaning. She shared how she and her ex-boyfriend chose this location for their closure conversation.
The brains behind this unique concept are Wilbert Morada and John Lorenz Santos. Their inspiration came from Thailand’s unconventional café designs, leading them to embrace an unfinished, industrial aesthetic.
After their location was demolished, they realized its raw beauty and decided to leave it as is. The scattered tools left behind by their contractor inspired them to lean into the hardware-store look, making their café stand out from the usual trendy coffee spots.
