Three Young Siblings Perish in Tragic House Fire in Pangasinan

Tragic Fire Claims Lives of Three Young Children in Pangasinan

PANGASINAN – A devastating fire took the lives of three young siblings in Purok 6, Barangay New Magallanes, Tayug. The victims, aged six, four, and two, were trapped inside their home when the fire broke out. According to a report by GMA Regional TV, their parents were not present at the time of the incident.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire. However, initial reports from the Philippine National Police suggest that the children’s father may have unintentionally contributed to the tragedy. Allegedly, he locked the house before leaving to charge his cellphone, unknowingly preventing his children from escaping.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) is working to determine whether the fire was caused by faulty electrical wiring, an unattended flame, or another potential hazard. Meanwhile, legal experts are reviewing the possible consequences of the incident.

Under Philippine law, accidental fires that result in death can carry serious legal repercussions. According to Article 365 of the Revised Penal Code, if negligence is proven, the responsible party could face imprisonment ranging from six months to six years. If multiple deaths occur, the penalties may be even harsher. Additionally, Republic Act 9514, also known as the Fire Code of the Philippines, imposes administrative fines and civil liabilities for fire-related negligence.

While no official charges have been filed yet, the tragedy highlights the importance of fire safety and parental responsibility. This heartbreaking incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of leaving young children unattended, especially in homes with potential fire hazards.

As investigations continue, the community mourns the loss of these three innocent lives, hoping for answers and justice in this tragic event.
