Mavy Legaspi Reacts to Comments After Being Introduced as a PBB Host
MAVY LEGASPI – The Kapuso actor-host addressed negative comments after being introduced as one of the hosts of the upcoming season of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB).
The GMA-7 star has officially been introduced as one of the hosts of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Collab Edition, marking a significant step in his hosting career. This special season will bring together celebrities from both ABS-CBN and GMA as housemates, making it one of the most exciting editions of the show.
During his guest appearance on It’s Showtime on February 21, Mavy shared how happy he was to join PBB. He said he was excited to meet the new housemates from Sparkle and Star Magic and to be part of the country’s most popular reality show. Since he has been a fan of PBB since he was young, he sees this as a great honor, especially since he will be working with experienced hosts like Gabbi Garcia, Kim Chiu, Enchong Dee, Robi Domingo, Melai Cantiveros, and Bianca Gonzalez. Although he feels a little nervous, he is eager to take on the challenge and contribute to the show’s success.

The PBB Celebrity Collab Edition is extra special as it also marks the 20th anniversary of Pinoy Big Brother. Over the years, PBB has helped launch the showbiz careers of many aspiring artists. Mavy’s role as a host also strengthens the collaboration between GMA and ABS-CBN, furthering their growing partnership, which excites Filipino viewers.
Mavy is no stranger to hosting. Last year, he showcased his skills as one of the hosts of Tahanang Pinakamasaya and has also hosted various events. He previously co-hosted GMA Network’s cooking talk show Sarap, ‘Di Ba? alongside his mother, Carmina Villarroel, and twin sister, Cassy Legaspi.

Unfortunately, his latest hosting stint was met with criticism, prompting him to respond via social media. On his Instagram Stories, Mavy thanked his supporters for their overwhelming love and promised to do his best as a PBB host. He said he welcomes constructive criticism to improve but dismissed unnecessary negativity, advising critics to keep it to themselves.
