Recently, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte is surrounded by issues including her impeachment which was approved by the House of Representatives. Two-thirds of the lawmakers in the lower chamber signed the impeachment raps.

Based on the report, Malacañang press officer Undersecretary Claire Castro said that it is disappointing that the said statement encouraging the Filipinos to get angry with the government came from the vice president. According to her, Pres. Bongbong Marcos had no reactions against it.

”Unang-una nakakalungkot po na mula sa pangalawang pinakamataas na lider ng bansa ay mukha pang nag-eencourage siya sa mga tao na magalit sa gobyerno,” Castro said.

The Malacañang Press Officer said that the President has no reactions as such statement should not come from the vice president. Based on the report, Castro stressed that Duterte should do otherwise.

“Mas maganda po sana kung siya ay mag-eencourage sa mga tao na makipagtulungan lang instead of having this feeling of hatred against the government,” the Palace Press Officer said.

Recently, amid the issue regarding the impeachment of the Vice President, Senator Risa Hontiveros urged Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero to call on a Senate caucus to discuss Duterte’s impeachment.
