South Korean Actress Kim Sae-ron Passes Away at 24, Found Dead at Home

South Korean Actress Kim Sae-ron Dies

KIM SAE-RON – The South Korean actress has passed away at the age of 24.

Authorities confirmed that the former child star was found lifeless at her home in Seoul on February 17, 2025. A close friend, concerned after Kim missed an important appointment, went to check on her and discovered her unresponsive. While investigators have ruled out foul play, they are still looking into the circumstances surrounding her death.

Kim entered the entertainment industry at just nine years old. She quickly rose to fame with her performances in the films A Brand New Life (2009) and The Man From Nowhere (2010), where she showcased her exceptional acting skills at a young age.

She later starred in critically acclaimed films such as I Am Dad, Listen to My Heart, and Barbie, which tackled the realities of international adoption. Another notable film was Snowy Road, which depicted the heartbreaking stories of Korean women forced into slavery during World War II.

However, her career took a downturn in May 2022 due to a drunk driving incident in Gangnam District. Her car crashed, causing significant property damage, which she had to pay for herself. This reportedly led to financial difficulties.

Kim later parted ways with her agency, Goldmedalist, in December 2022 and kept a low profile for some time. By October 2024, reports surfaced that she was making a comeback in a musical film and had already started filming. Around the same time, rumors linked her romantically to actor Kim Soo-hyun (known for It’s Okay Not to Be Okay and Queen of Tears). However, Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Goldmedalist, quickly denied the speculation.

Kim Sae-ron’s passing is a heartbreaking loss for the South Korean entertainment industry. She leaves behind a legacy of powerful performances and a career that, despite challenges, showcased her undeniable talent.
