Juan Karlos’ Girlfriend Dia Mate Crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2025

Dia Mate Wins Reina Hispanoamericana 2025

DIA MATE – The Filipina singer-songwriter was crowned Reina Hispanoamericana 2025 during the grand coronation night in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. She outshined 24 other contestants, securing the prestigious title and bringing pride to the Philippines.

Dia succeeds Maricielo Gamarra from Peru, the Reina Hispanoamericana 2024 titleholder. She is now the second Filipina to win the crown, following Winwyn Marquez, who made history as the first Filipina winner in 2017.

During the Q&A segment, Dia was asked: “What value do you think is the most important to our society, and why do you think this is important?” Her heartfelt response captivated the judges:

“I think the most important value that we should have is kindness. In my experience here in Bolivia, Latinas have shown me so much kindness and so much love even though racially I am not Latino. And the most beautiful thing I’ve noticed is that even though we don’t speak the same language, we share the same culture, same heart, and same faith in God. And I hope this shows everybody that if we use kindness we can show that we are all the same and can create a better world and a better society for us all.”

Before competing in Miss World Philippines 2024, Dia first joined Miss Universe Philippines 2024 but did not secure any title. However, she remained determined, leading to her international victory at Reina Hispanoamericana.

Meanwhile, the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant was originally founded in 1991 as Reina Sudamerica, exclusively for South American countries. In 2004, it expanded to include Central America. The pageant was renamed Reina Hispanoamericana in 2007, and in 2017, the Philippines was officially allowed to join, opening doors for Filipina beauty queens on the global stage.

With her inspiring victory, Dia Mate has once again placed the Philippines in the spotlight, proving that passion, perseverance, and grace lead to success in international pageantry.
