Breadwinner Female Content Creator Opens Up About Family Pressures
A female content creator opened up about her feelings as the breadwinner of her family, saying “Napapagod na ako.”
Recently, Banessa Raya, a Facebook user, shared her struggles as the breadwinner of her family, expressing the weight of the responsibilities on her shoulders. The post elicited comments from the internet users.
According to Banessa, her role as the primary provider often leaves her feeling drained and overwhelmed. Despite being in Vietnam for work, her mind constantly circles back to the responsibilities she left behind.

Raya admitted feeling frustrated as the majority of her hard-earned income goes to meeting her family’s needs. For her, being seen as the go-to solution for every problem can be exhausting.
The challenges of being a breadwinner extend beyond financial concerns. Banessa mentioned that, while her work might look glamorous through social media, it comes with emotional and physical tolls.
Traveling for content creation, balancing work, and maintaining a cheerful public image often conceal her exhaustion. She wondered why the concept of a breadwinner puts so much burden on one person and wished for a system where everyone contributes equally.

Despite her strong and happy facade in photos and videos, Banessa admitted that it’s tough to carry the weight of being the family’s backbone. She struggles with the constant pressure to be resilient, even when she feels like she’s running on empty.

I’m so down. Nakakapagod maging breadwinner.
Lord, help me po.”
