Actress Andi Eigenmann recently honored the memory of her late mother, Jaclyn Jose, by getting a meaningful new tattoo. The tattoo, a palm leaf imprinted on her right arm, serves as a tribute to Jaclyn as her first death anniversary approaches.
On February 22, 2025, Andi took to Instagram to share a photo of her latest ink, which she got at a tattoo studio in Siargao. Her partner, Philmar Alipayo, also had a tattoo done at the same time, leading many netizens to assume they had gotten matching tattoos. However, Andi later clarified that her tattoo was a personal dedication to her beloved mother.
Jaclyn Jose, a multi-awarded actress, passed away on March 2, 2024, at the age of 60 due to a myocardial infarction (heart attack) at her home in Marikina City. She was known for her exceptional talent and was the first Asian actress to win the prestigious Palme d’Or for Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival.
In her Instagram caption, Andi explained the deep significance of the palm leaf design, stating that it symbolizes various aspects of Jaclyn’s character that she wishes to embody. She described her mother as a strong woman who faced life’s challenges with resilience and was a dedicated mother to her children.
