Veterinarian Offers Free Services to Honor His Late Dog

A veterinarian has decided to honor his late dog by offering free services to pet owners who cannot afford veterinary fees.

Recently, Docjhayvet, a TikTok user, from Calumpit, Bulacan, has found a special way to honor his late dog, Spice, by offering free veterinary services to pet owners who can’t afford clinic fees. The post garnered various reactions from the internet users.

Dr. Emjhay Mercado, the man behind this kind gesture, hopes to assist fur parents who face challenges similar to what he experienced as a child.

The veterinarian shared that Spice, his beloved dog, fell seriously ill with a blood infection during his younger years. Unfortunately, their family couldn’t afford the costly vet services at the time.

With limited options, he tried to help his dog using home remedies, but Spice eventually passed away. The painful experience fueled his desire to help others in similar situations.

Wala man lang ako magawa.

Now a licensed veterinarian, Mercado fulfills the promise he made during those difficult days. He offers free treatment to pets whose owners may not have the financial means to access veterinary care.

Through his generosity, he hopes to give pets a fighting chance and provide relief to worried fur parents. He believes his late dog would be proud of the way he has turned a painful memory into a mission of compassion.
