BI Arrests Two Chinese Nationals at NAIA for Using Fake Visas
FAKE VISA – Two Chinese nationals were apprehended by Bureau of Immigration (BI) officials at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 1 for attempting to leave the Philippines using fake visas. The passengers, identified as 31-year-old Wang Dingku and 25-year-old Su Zhengkun, were trying to board a flight to Bangkok, Thailand.
Their arrest took place during standard immigration checks when discrepancies in their visas were detected. The documents were sent to the forensic documents laboratory for further verification, which confirmed that the visas were counterfeit. It was also revealed that these forged documents had been used previously for their entry into the Philippines.
The two Chinese nationals are now facing charges for violating the Philippine Immigration Act. Their cases will be brought before the BI board of commissioners, which will issue a ruling for their summary deportation. Until their deportation, both individuals are being held at the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City.
Meanwhile, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) is a crucial agency in the Philippines that ensures the country’s borders are safe and orderly. It plays a key role in managing the entry and exit of people, ensuring that everyone entering or leaving the country complies with the rules. The BI is responsible for issuing visas and permits to foreigners and monitoring their stay to ensure they follow Philippine laws. It also plays a significant role in protecting people from human trafficking and illegal recruitment by carefully regulating who enters and exits the country.
Under the Department of Justice, the BI helps safeguard the nation while also welcoming visitors and workers who come to the Philippines for legitimate reasons. Through its efforts, the Bureau of Immigration supports both national security and the well-being of those crossing its borders.
