To Reduce Unemployment, PBBM Plans to Hold Monthly Job Fairs Nationwide
MONTHLY JOB FAIRS – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has announced plans to hold monthly job fairs across the country in an effort to lower the unemployment rate. He made this statement at the Jobstreet Career Con 2025, held on January 25 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
The President shared that the government aims to expand employment opportunities through regular career events, similar to the one recently held. He mentioned that the event was highly successful and that it would serve as a pilot project for future job fairs. If successful, the government plans to organize these events every month, not just in Metro Manila, but in various provinces as well, to make job opportunities more accessible to people outside the capital.
Sabi namin, subukan natin dalasan,” PBBM said.
President Bongbong Marcos expressed his satisfaction with the turnout at the career event, noting that around 18,000 people had registered. He hopes that many of the attendees will secure employment through these initiatives.
By bringing job fairs to different regions, the government seeks to address the challenges of unemployment by reaching more individuals in need of work, particularly in areas outside of Metro Manila. This initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to creating more employment opportunities and supporting the workforce.
