A netizen shared an old photo of his friend, who later became his crush, and regretted not expressing his feelings for her.
Recently, the Facebook page “Philippine Old Photos Collection” shared a post from a netizen named Rene Pilapil. He posted a throwback photo of his crush, reflecting on a long-lost feeling and the regret of not expressing it. The post garnered various reactions from the internet users.
In his post, Rene explained that the person in the photo was not just his friend but also his crush during their younger years. Unfortunately, he never told her how he truly felt, mainly due to the fear of how it might affect their friendship.
Pilapil chose to stay silent, believing that keeping his emotions hidden was the safest choice. Over time, they lost touch, each following different paths in life. They both built families and experienced personal journeys.
Years later, Rene reconnected with an old friend, who handed him a long-forgotten photo of his crush. The picture, hidden in an old album, had a message dedicated to Rene. Reading the dedication made him realize that she might have had feelings for him as well during that time.
Rene reflected on how he never seized the chance to express his feelings. While regretful, he acknowledged that fate played its role. Unfortunately, he would never have the chance to reconnect or catch up with her, as he learned she had passed away long ago.
