Selena Gomez and Her Boyfriend Are Getting Married Soon
SELENA GOMEZ – The 32-year-old award-winning singer-songwriter, is now engaged to her boyfriend, 36-year-old music producer Benny Blanco. On December 12, 2024, Selena shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting photos of herself wearing a diamond engagement ring. She captioned the post with, “forever begins now…”
In the comments section, Benny expressed his excitement, writing, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.” Their announcement quickly gained attention, with many of Selena’s friends and fellow celebrities congratulating the couple. Taylor Swift humorously responded, “Yes, I will be the flower girl,” while Julia Michaels said, “So happy for you both.” Nina Dobrev shared her excitement with a big “YES!!!! Congratulations!!!!! So happy for you both!!!!” and Cardi B added, “Waiiiitttt hold on.”
Selena and Benny have a long history of collaboration. They worked together on Selena’s hits “Same Old Love” and “Kill Them With Kindness,” and in 2019, they teamed up again for the song “I Can’t Get Enough,” alongside Puerto Rican producer Tainy and Colombian singer J Balvin.
The couple’s romance was first rumored in June 2023, and by December 2023, Selena publicly confirmed that they had been dating for six months. In a May 2024 interview, Selena revealed how she had planned to adopt a child on her own after her breakup with Justin Bieber, explaining that she had grown comfortable with being alone for five years.
She shared, “I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it. A lot of people are afraid of being alone, and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it. Then I came up with my plan, which was that I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.” Now, with Benny by her side, Selena’s life has taken a beautiful new turn, filled with love and exciting plans for the future.
