Ion Perez Caught in a Motorcycle Racing Mishap
ION PEREZ – The husband of Vice Ganda was recently involved in a motorcycle racing accident.
Ion Perez, whose real name is Benigno Dungo Perez, is an actor, model, and television host. He is best known for his role as the “Kuya Escort” in the popular ABS-CBN noontime show It’s Showtime. Ion gained widespread attention through his appearances on the show, where he became a regular co-host starting in 2018.
Before his career in television, Ion was a model and participated in various beauty pageants. He won the 2017 Misters of Filipinas and the 2018 Mister Universe Tourism. His success in pageants helped launch his career in the entertainment industry.
Ion is also known for his personal relationship with comedian and television host Vice Ganda. They became partners in 2018, and in 2021, they held a commitment ceremony in Las Vegas. Ion has also ventured into acting, appearing in films such as The Mall, The Merrier (2019), Mang Kepweng: Ang Lihim ng Bandanang Itim (2020), and Kaka (2021), where he played his first lead role. Previously, Ion filed for candidacy as a councilor in Concepcion, Tarlac, although he later withdrew from the race.
Recently, Ion was involved in a motorbike race accident. On December 20, he shared a post on Instagram showing dramatic photos from the race, including one where his big bike flips while he is airborne. Ion humorously captioned the photo, “Nice angle! MM93 v Me,” referring to a comparison with a famous motorcycle racer.
Many netizens expressed concern for Ion’s safety, sending messages like “Ingat sir” and “How are you bro?
