Atong Ang and Sunshine Cruz’s Relationship Earns Reaction from Cesar Montano
CESAR MONTANO – The action star reacted to the relationship between businessman Atong Ang and his ex-wife, Sunshine Cruz.
Business tycoon Atong Ang has confirmed his relationship with actress Sunshine Cruz, putting an end to years of speculation. The announcement came during an interview on the Bilyonaryo News Channel, shared by “Agenda” host Pinky Webb on December 17.
Atong addressed the ongoing rumors surrounding their relationship for the first time, following a viral video that captured the couple sharing a kiss. The video, filmed inside a cockpit, quickly gained attention, amassing over 90 million views within just four days.
The footage sparked widespread speculation, but Atong’s confirmation has now publicly acknowledged their romance. Before being with Atong, Sunshine was in a long-term relationship with Macky Mathay, which lasted nearly six years before they amicably parted ways earlier this year.
Sunshine was previously married to actor Cesar Montano, with whom she has three daughters. Their marriage ended in annulment in 2018 after a highly publicized separation.
Cesar Montano has finally spoken about the brewing romance between Atong Ang and his ex-wife, Sunshine Cruz. “Saludo ako kay Atong for being man enough to admit his relationship with Shine. I sincerely wish that they will live happily ever after. They both deserve to be happy. When Shine is happy, that means our three daughters are happy, too. And as a father, my daughters’ happiness is mine as well,” he said, according to the Philippine Star.
Meanwhile, Cesar Montano is a well-known actor, film producer, director, and aspiring politician. He began his career as a commercial model and later gained recognition for his roles in action movies, with one of his most iconic performances being that of national hero José Rizal in the 1998 biopic José Rizal. He also starred in the war film The Great Raid (2005), his first Hollywood film. Montano’s notable acting career includes multiple award-winning roles in films such as Panaghoy sa Suba and Muro Ami.
