Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, ACT Teachers Rep. France Castro said that the third impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte may be filed a religious group next week. She stressed the certainty of the filing.

“We just heard from one of our colleagues that a group of religious people would file next week… It’s already certain to be submitted next week,” the Vice President said.

Prior to the statement of Castro, House Secretary General Reginald Velasco has revealed that a “religious group” is expected to file the third impeachment complaint against Vice Pres. Sara Duterte. According to Castro, the third impeachment complaint is the reason why they have yet to transmit the impeachment complaints to the office of the House Speaker as they await the third complaint.

“Kasi pag sinubmit ‘yung dalawa kapag wala pa yung pangatlo baka ma-technical,” the solon said.

Based on the report, Rep. France Castro is not confident that the impeachment complaints will be transmitted to the Senate anytime soon. As for Velasco, the House Secretary General previously said they still await the comments and recommendations of their legal department.

With regards to the subpoena issued by the National Bureau of Investigation against the Vice President, VP Sara Duterte has skipped the probe as she has a scheduled lunch party with the media.
