During a Basketball Game at the UAAP, a Woman Flashed a Dirty Finger at Other Fans
DIRTY FINGER – A woman made headlines after being captured on video making inappropriate gestures toward other fans during a UAAP basketball game on November 20, 2024, at the San Juan Arena.
The incident occurred during the basketball game between the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons and the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors. According to netizens who were present, the woman, a UP fan, had a heated exchange with UE drummers before directing the offensive gesture towards their section when she noticed someone filming her.
The situation escalated when security had to intervene to calm the fan down. Some users shared their surprise as the woman suddenly made the rude gesture without any clear context, while others jokingly remarked that despite UE’s victory, the UP fan appeared upset.
The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) has yet to release an official statement regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, the UAAP, founded in 1938, is a prestigious collegiate sports league that showcases the athletic prowess of eight leading universities: Ateneo de Manila, De La Salle University, University of the Philippines, University of Santo Tomas, Far Eastern University, National University, Adamson University, and University of the East.
