Glaiza de Castro Shares Her Thoughts on Ken Chan’s Legal Issues
GLAIZA DE CASTRO – The Kapuso actress shared her perspective on Ken Chan’s legal troubles involving a PHP 14 million fraud case connected to his restaurant business.
Ken Chan is currently facing a syndicated estafa case linked to allegations of an investment scam. The case centers on a complainant who claims to have invested PHP 14 million in Ken’s restaurant venture, Café Claus, with the expectation of a 10% monthly return. The complainant alleges that the funds were misused and not properly allocated to the business, resulting in accusations of fraud.
Ken denied the accusations, asserting that the restaurant’s failure stemmed from operational challenges rather than any fraudulent intent. He maintained that he did not solicit money deceitfully or scam anyone, instead attributing the business’s downfall and his tarnished reputation to some of his business partners.
Ken’s former business partner, Mark Wei, countered his statements, accusing him of misrepresenting the facts and evading responsibility. Mark alleged that funds were misappropriated and urged Ken to address the case in court, where he believes their evidence will validate the claims.
Glaiza de Castro commented on the situation, noting that she was unsure of Ken’s current status as they haven’t communicated recently. However, she expressed her support by sending him a message to let him know she was praying for him. She refrained from discussing case details, stating she was not in a position to provide insights.
Glaiza commended Ken’s courage in addressing the matter thoughtfully and expressed confidence in his ability to overcome the challenges. She highlighted the importance of faith and support from others during difficult times. “Hindi ako magaling mag-comfort, pero kapag kailangan mo ako sa tabi mo, kapag kailangan mong may makinig sa yo, nandiyan ako. Pero wala lang akong masasabi kung hindi ipagdasal ka lang,” she said.
