Yuuki Kadooka Open to Returning to Showbiz After Ang Tanging Ina Role
YUUKI KADOOKA – The former actor who played Martin “Tenten” Montecillo in the hit 2003 movie Ang Tanging Ina, is open to returning to showbiz.
Each year on October 10, memes about Tenten remind fans of the film starring Ai-Ai delas Alas. Yuuki, a Filipino-Japanese actor, portrayed Tenten, a deaf-mute son, known for a memorable scene where his mother searches for him in a panic.
Yuuki was only seven when he filmed the movie and left the Philippines at twelve to return to Japan, where he has lived and studied since 2008. Even though he has been away from acting for over a decade, he is grateful that people still remember him. In a recent interview, he said, “Thank you, and Happy Tenten Day to everyone!”
Now 28, Yuuki works as a freelance web and graphic designer and is also a YouTube game streamer. He stated, “I am still single,” and is open to acting again if the right opportunities come along. He has appeared in five films, including Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat and Shake, Rattle & Roll 8.
Reflecting on his past, Yuuki fondly remembers the support he received from fellow actors, production staff, and fans. He cherishes the experiences of working with talented people and traveling for projects. He also mentioned that he visits the Philippines when possible and keeps in touch with former colleagues, highlighting his lasting connection to both the entertainment industry and his Filipino roots.

The film humorously depicts Ina’s struggles to provide for her family after losing her husbands, balancing multiple jobs amid chaotic family life filled with comedic mishaps and heartfelt moments.
Focusing on her sacrifices and challenges, the story highlights her children’s personal issues and Ina’s unwavering love and dedication. The film was a major success, becoming one of the highest-grossing Filipino films and leading to a TV series and several sequels, including “Ang Tanging Ina N’yong Lahat” and “Ang Tanging Ina Mo (Last na ‘To!).”
