Ogie Diaz Urges Candidates to Aid Typhoon Kristine Victims in CamSur

Ogie Diaz – The TV host and comedian, called on candidates for the 2025 midterm elections and party-list groups to help those affected by Typhoon Kristine, especially in the CamSur area.

In a Facebook post, he urged those who filed their candidacy papers in early October, particularly those planning to run in the Bicol region, to show their commitment to the community by assisting their fellow residents.

Ogie challenged current officials to highlight their efforts, stating that if they have proof of assistance and rescue activities, they should share it to avoid being judged. He pointed out that people are noticing the continued support from Atty. Leni Robredo, even though she no longer holds a government position, emphasizing her and Angat Buhay’s visible efforts to help others.

Ogie expressed concern that politicians should not wait for the campaign period to show their support, stressing the importance of being proactive in helping those in need. He stated that it would be embarrassing for these candidates to only make their presence felt during the campaign, urging them to take action sooner. Overall, Ogie’s message highlighted the need for genuine community support from those seeking public office and the urgency of providing immediate help to those affected by the recent disaster.
