Lady Netizen Shares Heartwarming Encounter with Young Cotton Candy Vendor Earning Just Two Pesos per Sale
The lady netizen touched the hearts of many online after sharing her experience with the young cotton candy vendor.
Recently, Jenna Ali, a Facebook user, shared her encounter with a young cotton candy vendor earning P2 per sale.
Jenna shared that she was out for a walk one evening, craving some street food like fishballs. While enjoying her snack, she noticed a young boy, about 12 years old, sitting by a post with sticks of cotton candy in his hand.
Feeling concerned that he was still out so late trying to earn a living, Ali approached him to ask about his situation. She found out that the cotton candy wasn’t his own. The boy was merely selling for someone else, earning only P2 for each stick he sold, which made Jenna feel sad.
Ali asked him if he went to school, but the boy explained that he couldn’t because his family couldn’t afford it. Wanting to help, she bought a couple of cotton candies from him, giving him extra money and telling him to keep the change. The boy, teary-eyed, thanked her sincerely.
In another story, a lady netizen moved by hardworking elderly vendor “umulan o umaraw nagtitinda pa rin ng mga gulay”
The lady netizen’s post urged people to show kindness to young children like this boy who are already working at such a young age. She also reminded others to appreciate their blessings, particularly those fortunate enough to be in school, as many children wish they could have the same opportunity.
“Sana po kung may nakita tayong batang naghahanap buhay bumili po tayo, isipin nalang po natin na sa murang edad naghahanap buhay na sila. Kaya blessed parin ang mga batang nakakapag-aral kaya sana sa mga kabataan dyan, habang pinapa aral kayo ng mga magulang nyo aral kayo mabuti blessed kayo dahil may sumusuporta sa inyo,” Ali said.
