Ion Perez Rumored to Withdraw His Candidacy for Councilor
Ion Perez – The It’s Showtime host has sparked speculation about withdrawing his candidacy for councilor due to an allegedly deleted Facebook post.
During the October 21 episode of “Showbiz Updates,” showbiz insider Ogie Diaz and co-host Mama Loi discussed the implications of the post, in which Ion expressed gratitude for a sign from God, stating, Alam ko mas makakabuti itong desisyon ko para sa sarili ko.” Mama Loi noted that many commenters were questioning whether Ion was stepping back from his candidacy.
Ogie analyzed the post’s cryptic nature, mentioning the black background of the image, which conveyed a somber tone, leading to questions about a possible withdrawal. He remarked that if Ion believed his decision was beneficial, the background should not have been black.
As of now, Ion has not released any official statement addressing the rumors surrounding his candidacy. He had filed to run for councilor of Concepcion, Tarlac, on October 1, coinciding with the first day for submitting certificates of candidacy. The situation remains uncertain, with fans and followers eagerly awaiting clarity on Ion’s political intentions.
